
On October 13, Program on “Development Management of Competitive Benefits of Regions” for senior leaders of the government of the Russian Federation kicked off at CELAP. Prof. Feng Jun, Executive Vice President of CELAP, and Mr. Mikheev Alexey, Deputy Consul General of Russian Consulate-General in Shanghai, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. The ceremony was chaired by Mr. Liu Genfa, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Exchange and Program Development.
Prof. Feng Jun extended a warm welcome to the participants on behalf of CELAP and reviewed the friendship between China and Russia as well as the cooperation between CELAP and the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. He pointed out that with an all-round development and deepening of China-Russian bilateral relations, CELAP’s cooperation with Russia in leadership education also enjoyed rapid development and has gained remarkable achievements. He also expressed the hope to strengthen ties, enhance exchanges and share wisdom through this program.
Mr. Mikheev Alexey, Deputy Consul General to Shanghai, expressed his regards to all the participants. Mr. Iaroslav Zamychkin, head of the program and Chief Adviser of Internal Affairs in the Executive Office of the Russian President, thought that the topics were very important to the participants, and this program provided valuable opportunities for exchanges and sharing of Chinese and Russian experiences. He hoped that the programs could achieve fruitful results.
After the opening ceremony, Prof. Feng Jun made a lecture to the participants on "Goals and Tasks of China’s Reform and Development after the 18th CPC National Congress and its Third Plenary Session".
The 10 participants involved will learn about the ideas and explorations of China’s regional economic development as well as Pudong’s practice in reform and opening-up during the one-week program.
