CELAP and UC Berkeley Haas Sign Agreement for Collaboration



 

Prof. Richard K. Lyons, Dean of the Haas School of Business at the University of California Berkeley, visited CELAP and appeared the MOU signing ceremony of cooperation on January 20. Wu Hsioh Kwang, executive chairman of Singapore's Straco Corporation Limited, and Geng Jing, Executive Vice Chairman of Changjiang Pension Insurance Co., Ltd. and Secretary General of alumni association of UC Berkeley, accompanied Lyons' visit. Prof. Feng Jun, Executive Vice President of CELAP, met with visiting guests before attending the signing ceremony.

 

 

In the meeting, Prof. Feng introduced the major achievement in CELAP's international cooperation, which serves a window open to the world. In line with the demand of CPC Central Committee, CELAP is slated to conduct a strategy of opening up policy as well to push forward international cooperation and to integrate resources.

 

In a speech at the signing ceremony, Prof. Feng reviewed the collaborations between CELAP and Haas during the past and expressed his gratitude toward Prof. Lyons and Mr. Wu for their endeavor and contribution. He believed that the bilateral cooperation will be enhanced in the future.

 

Prof. Lyons said Haas echoes CELAP's pursuit and practice of international cooperation, which would help the two sides realize common development. Mr. Wu noted the long-term cooperation between Haas and CELAP will speed up the exchanges between the two and improve the capability of the faculty. He noted that Straco promised to support the cooperation in relative fields and introduce excellent teachers to CELAP from Haas.

 

Representing CELAP and Haas, Prof. Feng and Prof. Lyons signed the MOU of cooperation. Based on the MOU, the two institutes will conduct collaborations in enterprise management and leadership development through the tapping of new courses, case studies and personnel exchanges.
