On Apr. 17, Prof. Jiang Haishan, Vice President of CELAP, signed the Memorandum of Understanding with Prof. Bjorn Nilsson, President of Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA). Mr. Breidne Magnus, Vice President of IVA, and Ms. Song Jin, Director-General of Dept. of International Exchange and Program Development, attended the ceremony. The signing ceremony was moderated by Prof. Liu Genfa, Deputy Director-general of Dept. of International Exchange and Program Development.

 

In his speech at the signing ceremony, Prof. Jiang said, “The cooperation with IVA is an essential part of CELAP’s international initiative. The MOU signed today will elevate our relations to a higher level.” Prof. Nilsson confirmed the significance of the MOU. He said, “We have identified several topics of common interest which will better prepare us for economic and societal challenges, and I believe we are contributing to a powerful Sino-Swedish network.”

 

Based on the MOU, CELAP and IVA will strengthen mutual cooperation on scholar and staff exchange, research projects, etc.
