CELAP Signs MOU with Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration of India



 

On June 30, 2014, Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao met with visiting Indian Vice President Ansari. After the meeting, witnessed by Vice President Mr Li and Vice President Ansari, CELAP and Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration signed a Memorandum of Understanding concerning communication and cooperation in capacity building of public officials. Prof. Feng Jun, Executive Vice President of CELAP and Ashok K. Kantha, Indian Ambassador to China signed the MOU. Wang Jingqing, Vice Minister of the Central Organization Department of CPC Central Committee, Liu Zhenmin, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Liu Ning, Vice Minister of Water Resources, and Gao Yan, Vice Minister of Commerce attended the signing ceremony.

 

Under the MOU, the two academies will strengthen exchanges and cooperation in capacity building of public officials through visits exchanges and joint organization of seminars to share best practices in public services, etc.

 

In recent years, China-India strategic cooperative partnership are developing and maintaining a good momentum. In this context, CELAP conducted multi-level exchanges and cooperation in multiple fields with Indian government departments, administrative academies, and industrial associations and has generated ​​a series of outcomes. The MOU symbolizes an important mechanism for China and India to strengthen the exchange of experiences on governance based on their respective development strategies.
