On Sep. 15, Dr. Bill Durodié, Professor & Chairman of International Relations, University of Bath, was appointed as adjunct professor by CELAP. Prof. Feng Jun, Executive Vice President of CELAP, delivered a speech at the appointment ceremony moderated by Mr. Jiang Haishan, Vice President of CELAP. Part of CELAP faculty and staff attended the ceremony.
On behalf of CELAP, Prof. Feng Jun extended his appreciation and congratulations to Prof. Durodié. Feng remarked that Prof. Bill Durodié is a renowned scholar in risk management and crisis communication studies, as well as a practitioner in modern social conflict management with rich practical experience. Prof. Bill Durodié has given a number of lectures at CELAP on invitation, including Crisis Management in Urban Environments, Guidance of Social Public Opinions. The lectures are well welcomed by CELAP participants. Prof. Feng stressed that with Prof. Durodié on CELAP’s team, the Academy’s teaching, research and curriculum development are expected to be lifted to a higher level.
Prof. Durodié expressed his gratitude to the trust of CELAP, and said that he will continue to contribute to the further development of the Academy.
Dr. Bill Durodié previously held positions at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies of Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, in the Department of Defence Management and Security Analysis at Cranfield University, part of the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom at Shrivenham, and in the War Studies Group of King’s College London.
