Mr. Ying Yong, Deputy Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and First Vice President of CELAP, met with the participants of Program for Senior Public Servants of Russian Federal Government on October 21. Also present at the meeting were Mr. Chen Yin, Deputy Secretary General of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, Mr. Fan Yufei, Deputy Director-General of the Shanghai Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, Ms. Song Jin, member of CELAP Executive Committee and Director General of Department of Participant Management and Mr. Liu Genfa, Deputy Director-general of Dept. of International Exchange.
Mr. Ying pointed out that in recent years China-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership has maintained a high level of operation and entered a new stage of development, as evidenced by continuously deepening mutual political trust and significant outcomes achieved from pragmatic cooperation. He gave a briefing on Shanghai's reform and opening up as well as its economic and social development, especially Shanghai’s effort to develop into a technological innovation center with global influence by comprehensively deepening reform and opening up and initiating an innovation-driven strategy.
Mr. Ying Yong introduced CELAP’s international programs and pointed out that together with Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, a number of joint programs have been carried out and the participants’ performance has been widely acclaimed. He also pointed out that the deepening of China-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership requires joint efforts of young politicians from both sides. Ying expressed his belief that the two countries would maintain close contacts and good relations by forging ahead together.
Ms. Lyudmila Bokova, Deputy Chair of Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Law and National Governance, on behalf of all participants, extended gratitude to Shanghai Municipal Government and CELAP for the well-organized courses and comfortable learning environment. She said the two weeks’ learning benefited them a lot, and would be great help to their work, in particular, to national and regional project cooperation. Mr. Tomenko Viktor, First Deputy Governor and President of the district government of Krasnoyarsk, commended that the courses encompassed quite a few field teaching, including Shanghai United Assets and Equity Exchange, Shanghai Human Resources Service Industry Park, Shanghai Chemical Industry Park etc. He said that this program further improved the understanding of the “Road and Belt” initiative and related fields, and was inspirational for all the participants in their work regarding regional and national development.
Ms. Ying Yong and Ms. Justorico Irina exchanged souvenirs with the logo of CELAP and RPANEPA and had a group photo with all the participants.
The Program for Senior Public Servants of Russian Federal Government is the sixth program CELAP organized jointly with Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. The participants are experts or senior public servants of Russian Federal Government.
