On May 17 and 18, a delegation headed by Prof. Sergei Tsyplyaev, Dean of the Law Department, the Northwestern Institute of Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (NWI RANEPA), visited CELAP to exchange ideas and discuss future cooperation.
On the morning of 17th, Prof. Wang Jinding, Vice President of CELAP, met with the delegation. During the meeting, Wang introduced the background, orientation and characteristics of CELAP from the perspective of leadership education in China. Prof. Tsyplyaev introduced the profile of the NWI RANEPA and recalled the exchange programs between two sides, which both agreed at the meeting to strengthen future cooperation in international courses, joint research and exchange of visiting scholars.
On the afternoon of 17th, Professor Tsyplyaev and Professor Li Xin, Director of Russian and Central Asian Studies Center of Shanghai Institute for International Studies, gave a joint lecture to the Program for Young Leaders from Qinghai Province (5th Cohort) on the topic of “Belt and Road Initiative” and the Eurasian Economic Development. The lecture was highly appraised by the participants.
On the morning of 18th, Prof. Larissa Karanatova, Dean of Continuing Education Department, gave a lecture with the topic of Career Development of National Civil Servants to CELAP faculty, introducing Russia's leadership education and training system and its challenges, countermeasures and innovative practice. After the lecture, the two sides conducted a lively discussion, and explored cooperation possibilities in the area of psychological evaluation, distance learning, etc.
Since 2007 when the RANEPA Northwestern Institute and CELAP established cooperative relations, the two sides have been launching practical cooperation in education and training, international courses, faculty exchange, etc.
