On May 15 and 18, 2018, Professor Yan Wenfan from the University of Massachusetts Boston delivered two lectures themed “the Latest Concepts and Approaches for the International Innovation in Education Reform” and “Big Data-based Innovation in Adult Education” to the participants of the “Workshop on Preferentially Promoting Educational Development,” and the “Workshop on the Reform and Innovation in the Education and Training for Officials” respectively. Centering on the topic of the innovation in adult education, Prof. Yan shared with the participants his latest experience in how to make adult education better targeted and more effective. Both lectures were followed by interactive discussions.

Prof. Yan Wenfan works at the University of Massachusetts Boston as a tenured professor, doctoral supervisor, Dean of the Department of Leadership in Education, and Director of both the Institute of International and Comparative Education (IICE) and the Center for U.S.-China Educational Leadership (CUSCEL). He is an experienced expert in the areas of education management, and educational policy analysis and research methodology.
