The Precursor of the CPC’s Founding of the People’s Army: From the Iron Armor Fleet, Ye Ting Independent Regiment to the Chinese Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army

Abstract: After the failure of the Great Revolution, the CPC began to found the people’s army independently. Under its leadership, the reorganized Iron Armor Fleet and the establishment of Ye Ting Independent Regiment made its debut during the Great Revolution. For the growth of the people’s army under the independent leadership of the CPC and the opening up of various revolutionary bases under the new historical conditions, they provided the initial support, trained military and political leaders, accumulated practical experience, and laid the prototype for the new people’s army in the areas of Party leadership, military purpose, military discipline, officers-soldiers relations, combat style, training methods and command system.
