ASEAN Delegation on Public Service Delivery Improvement and Innovation visits CELAP



On March 28, 2024, at the invitation of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, the ASEAN Delegation on Public Service Delivery Improvement and Innovation visits CELAP for a one-day study tour. The delegation, led by H.E. Mr. Youk Bunna, Permanent Secretary of State of Cambodia’s Ministry of Civil Service, comprises 23 officials from the ministries of civil service of the ten ASEAN countries, as well as representatives from the ASEAN Secretariat. During the visit, Song Jin, Member of the Executive Committee, held a meeting with the visiting delegation, accompanied by Mr. Liu Genfa, Director General of the Department of International Exchange and Program Development.

Song Jin provided a brief introduction to China’s leadership education and training system, as well as the essential information about CELAP, to the visiting delegation. She emphasized the significant statement made by General Secretary Xi Jinping, highlighting that “China was, is, and will always be ASEAN’s good neighbor, good friend and good partner.” She highlighted CELAP’s crucial role as a “window” for international exchange and cooperation in leadership education and training. She further conveyed willingness to collaborate with colleagues from ASEAN countries, aiming to make new contributions to advancing the construction of a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and ASEAN and fostering a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future.

Mr. Youk Bunna expressed his admiration for the remarkable achievements in China’s socioeconomic development during the new era, particularly in the realm of public services. Following the meeting, he expressed his gratitude, saying, “We are immensely thankful for the warm reception provided by CELAP during our study tour. We highly value the opportunity to learn and exchange ideas with the academy, as it will strengthen the friendship between ASEAN and China and contribute to regional peace, prosperity, and development.”
