Institute of The Yangtze River Delta Studies



  CELAP Yangtze River Delta Studies Institute was jointly established by CELAP and CPC Kunshan Municipal Committee in 2009. Located in Kunshan, Zhejiang Province, the institute vows to become a famous research centre on the Yangtze River Delta and on eastern China after 5-10 years of endeavor. It also aims to be a major think tank for the development of Yangtze River Delta and offers intelligent support for the long-term progress of CELAP as well as of Kunshan. Feng Jun, who is the Executive Vice President of CELAP, serves as the head of the institute. There are more than 30 part-time researchers with the institute, of whom 90 percent have intermediate and advanced titles.
  So far, it has edited and published two issues of yearbook on Yangtze River Delta, organized two symposiums on the region and conducted a series of academic activities. The institute devotes itself to the exploration of the successful experiences in political, economic, social, cultural and ecological development of Yangtze River Delta. After materializing many of its study achievements, the institute has gained wide-spread fame at home and abroad.
  The Yangtze River Delta region, one of the largest city clusters in the world, has played an important and strategic role in the socialist construction. In the new era, the institute will continue its leading-edge research for Chinese officials’ training and development and the harmonious and integrated development of the whole region.
