Urbanization is a must way to modernization. China has entered an era of rapid urbanization, which would greatly contribute to the economic and social development. To meet the challenges and tasks appeared during the process of urbanization, CELAP has designed the project titled Urbanization and Urban Modernization. Targeted participants are local Party and government officials. By summing up the experiences and lessons during the urbanization process at home and abroad, the course aims to enhance the officials’ urban management capacity. Major programs include Innovative Urban Construction, Urban Cultural Progress, Urban Social Development, Construction of Ecological Cities and so on.
