Media and Communication Lab

Since its establishment, CELAP has devoted much attention to hatch innovative courses on the basis of new technology and new concepts. In 2005, it took the lead in China to build a Media and Communication Lab, which composes of one dressing room and two simulation rooms. Courses range from simulations scenarios of press release and conference to TV talk show, TV interviews and individual interviews and imagined meeting with foreigners. During the past seven years, about 30,000 participants from home and abroad like South Korea, Japan and other countries have stepped into the lab.

Besides, dozens of radio and TV hosts from CCTV, Shanghai TV and Shanghai People’s Radio have been invited by CELAP as guest teachers to tackle the media-related issues with participants.

Since 2008, CELAP has been paying high attention to influence of Internet-based new media’s development. In response, the lab added new courses on the handling of challenges triggered by new media among the participants.
